Halo Collar Not Showing Lights or Charging
If your Halo Collar is not lighting up or charging correctly, follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue. If the problem continues, our live support team is available 7 days a week.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
1. Check Power Source
- Plug the collar into a USB-C cable and charging block (do not use a computer)
- Confirm that no LED lights appear on the collar
- Reference: Choosing the Right Charging Block for Your Halo Collar
2. Remove Case
- If using a Halo Pro Case, remove it
- This ensures proper contact between the charger and collar
Note:
- We recommend placing the case back on before using the collar on your dog
3. Test Charger & Cable
- Try the USB-C cable and charging block on another device (phone, tablet, etc.)
- Confirm they are working properly
4. Inspect Charging Port
- Check the charging pins/port for dirt or debris
- Clean gently using:
- Q-tip
- Rubbing alcohol or mild soap
- Allow the port to fully dry before charging again
5. Perform a Hard Reset
- Leave the collar plugged in for at least 5 minutes
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds, then release
Results:
- If LED lights turn on → Check connectivity in the Halo App
