How to Clean Your Halo Protective Case
Halo Pro Cases should be cleaned regularly to remove dirt and maintain safe, comfortable use for your dog.
Important Note for Case Color
- Graphite-colored cases cannot be bleached
- Ivory-colored cases can be cleaned using color-safe bleach
- All cases must be hand-washed and air-dried only
Cleaning Process
- Remove the Halo Pro Case from the collar by undoing the Velcro fasteners. You don't need to touch the Halo Collar itself.
- Run the case under cool to warm water. Use your fingertips, a soft cloth, or a sponge to gently remove dirt. Avoid brushes, as they can scratch the clear window.
- You can use common dish soap or laundry detergent, but rinse the case thoroughly to prevent any chemicals from irritating your dog's skin.
- Air dry the case completely, or blot it with a soft, all-cotton towel. Be careful not to scratch the clear window while drying.
What to Avoid
- Do not place the case in a dryer
- Do not use a hairdryer, iron, or dry cleaning
- Do not use strong acidic or alkaline cleaners
- Do not machine wash the case (recommended against)
Additional Information
- Machine washing is technically possible but not recommended
- The clear window may be damaged by zippers or other objects during a wash cycle
