What Is the Temperature Operating Range of the Halo Collar? Follow
We hope that no one has their dog outside in extreme temperatures. The operating temperature specification for the Halo Collar is -4F to 140F (-20C to 60C). If operated in temperatures outside of this specification, the product is not guaranteed to operate normally, but should not fail or break.
The storage temperature specification is -40F to 185F (-40C to 85C).
Keep in mind, If you're uncomfortable outside, it's likely too hot for your dog for extended periods. Most dogs can handle short walks or bathroom breaks in temperatures up to 90°F (32°C).
Here are some temperatures you should keep in mind:
- Above 90°F (32°C): Monitor your dog closely and provide ample shade and water.
- Above 100°F (38°C): Limit outdoor time significantly. Short walks in the early morning or evening are best.
- Above 110°F (43°C): Avoid walks or outdoor time altogether. This is extremely dangerous for dogs.
