How to Pause Your Halo Membership
If you don’t need to use your Halo Collar for a short period—such as during winter or a temporary change in routine—you can pause your Halo Membership instead of canceling it. Pausing saves money while keeping all your app settings, fences, and training data ready for when you return.
Note: If you attempt to add a collar while your membership is paused or canceled, the collar may not be successfully added until the membership is resumed or reactivated.
What Happens When You Pause Your Plan
When a membership is paused:
Billing stops during the pause period.
Fences, settings, and training progress remain saved.
Everything restores automatically once you resume.
While paused, collar protection and connectivity are temporarily disabled:
No tracking or GPS connection (SIM is suspended)
No prevention feedback; the collar may show minimal LED/buzzing behavior until the battery dies
Limited access to app features
Note: Pausing is only available for monthly Halo Memberships. Annual and bi-annual plans cannot be paused.
How to Pause Your Halo Membership
Pausing can only be done through your Halo online account — our team cannot pause a membership for you.
Go to the Halo Collar Website
Log in to your Halo Account
Select Pause or Cancel
Choose how long you’d like to pause (1–9 months)
Confirm your selection
When Does the Pause Begin?
Your membership remains active until your next billing date.
You’ll see a banner in My Account showing that the pause is scheduled.
During this waiting period:
Your collar stays fully functional
You can update the pause timeline or cancel your plan instead
After Your Plan is Paused
Once the pause officially begins:
You’ll receive a Pause Confirmation Email
Billing will temporarily stop
All collar connectivity and GPS protection will be paused
How to Resume Your Plan
You can resume at any time:
Go to the Halo Collar Website
Log in to your Halo Account
Select Resume Now
What Happens When You Resume:
App access and collar features return
Your collar’s SIM becomes active again
Billing restarts immediately
You’ll receive a Resume Confirmation Email
If you take no action, your membership automatically resumes on the scheduled end date.
Important Notes & Special Cases
While pausing is designed to be simple and flexible, there are a few scenarios where the options or availability may look a little different. Here are the most common cases to be aware of and what you can expect in each situation:

| Failed or unpaid invoice | Pause option may not appear until payment is resolved |
| Pending cancellation | Scheduling a pause removes the future cancellation |

| Multiple collars on one plan | All collars will pause together — not individually |
