• Extreme Temperatures: Both extreme cold and heat are harmful to Li-ion batteries. High temperatures can cause faster chemical reactions, leading to battery degradation, while cold temperatures can reduce the battery's ability to hold a charge.
• Fast Charging: While convenient, frequent fast charging can increase the temperature and stress on the battery, potentially reducing its lifespan.
• Physical Damage: Dropping or physically damaging a device can cause internal harm to the battery, potentially leading to a short circuit.
• Age: All batteries have a lifespan, and over time, they will naturally degrade and lose capacity, even under ideal conditions.
• Storage Conditions: Storing a Li-ion battery in a fully charged or fully discharged state for extended periods can significantly reduce its capacity. Ideally, they should be stored at around 50% charge in a cool, dry place.
• Poor Quality Chargers: Using chargers that are not optimized for the specific battery can lead to improper charging, affecting the battery's health.
