How to Charge the Halo Collar
It is important to fully charge the battery prior to the first use of your Halo Collar.
- A fully depleted battery takes about two hours to charge
- The collar will only charge within a temperature range of:
- 32° to 104°F (0° to 40°C)
We recommend charging the collar near a window to ensure it has a clear view of the sky for proper updates.
We highly recommend using a USB-C ported block and a USB-C to USB-C cable. For more details on what charging block to use, please refer to this article.
Procedure:
Charging Using the Magnetic USB-C Method
- Connect your USB-C cable to the magnetic adapter included in your Halo kit
- Refer to the images below for guidance

Halo 4 & 5 Mag Adapter:

Halo 3 Mag Adapter:
- Align the adapter with the charging port on the collar
- Ensure the charging port is clean and free of debris or water
- Allow the adapter to magnetically attach to the port
- If connected correctly, the collar will begin charging
- The status light will blink green while charging
- The collar is fully charged when the light turns solid green
- You may then remove the charging cable
Charging Older Models (Standard USB-C Method)
- Plug the USB-A end of the cable into the Halo AC/DC charging block
- Plug the charging block into a wall outlet
- Access the USB-C port on the collar:
- Lift the tab of the USB-C cover
- Rotate it out of the way

Do not unscrew the charging port cover
- Insert the USB-C end of the cable into the collar
- Orientation does not matter

The status light will blink green while charging
- The collar is fully charged when the light turns solid green
- You may then remove the charging cable
Care & Maintenance
- The USB-C port is weatherproof, but should be kept clean
- Always replace the port cover after charging to prevent dirt build-up
To prevent corrosion:
- Ensure the USB-C port and surrounding area are fully dry before charging
