How to Attach the Halo Collar to the Provided Strap

The collar strap ensures a secure and comfortable fit on your dog while keeping the Halo Collar properly positioned. The attachment process depends on your Halo Collar model.

Halo 4 & Halo 5

Halo 4 and 5 collars come with a pre-attached strap. You only need to follow these steps if you are replacing it with a new strap.

Replacing the Strap

  • Remove the existing strap from the collar
  • Attach the new strap following the same orientation
  • Ensure the strap is securely fastened before use

 

 

Proper Fit

  • The collar should fit snugly around your dog’s neck
  • You should be able to fit two fingers between the strap and your dog’s neck

Halo 3, 2+, and Older Models

These models require manual strap attachment during setup.

Steps to Attach the Strap

  1. Adjust the strap size
    • Fit it to your dog’s neck
    • Ensure two fingers can fit comfortably underneath
  2. Locate the strap loops
    • Find the two loops on the collar with thumbscrews
  3. Loosen the thumbscrews
    • Unscrew slightly to open the loops
  4. Attach the strap
    • Align the strap holes with the contact tip positions
  5. Secure the strap
    • Wrap the loops around the strap
    • Hand-tighten the thumbscrews
    • Do not use tools or over-tighten
