Why do I need to unlink a Halo Collar?
Before you can reduce the number of collars on your Halo Membership Plan, the number of collars listed in your Halo App must match the number allowed on your plan.
For example:
If 3 collars are currently listed in your Halo App, your plan must support at least 3 collars.
If you want to reduce your plan to fewer collars, you must first remove any unused collars from your Halo App.
Why This Step Is Required
The Halo system checks how many collars are currently linked to your account through the app. If the number of collars in your app is higher than the number allowed on your plan, the system will not allow you to reduce your plan.
If you attempt to lower the number of collars on your plan before removing them from the Halo App, you will see an error message indicating that the number of collars must be reduced in the app first.
What to Do
If you have a collar listed in your Halo App that you no longer use or no longer have, you will need to remove (unlink) the collar from the Halo App.
Once the collar has been removed from the app, you will then be able to lower the number of collars on your membership plan.
For step-by-step instructions on removing a collar, please refer to the article on how to remove a collar using the Halo App.
Summary
To reduce the number of collars on your Halo Membership Plan, the number of collars in your Halo App must first be updated. Removing any unused collars ensures your plan and app stay in sync, allowing you to adjust your plan successfully.
