Why won't my collar pair to my app?
When adding your Halo Collar to your account in the Halo App, make sure the following pre-conditions are met to ensure a smooth process:
General Requirements
- Your Halo Collar must be plugged into its charger and able to connect to strong Wi-Fi or cellular coverage
- It is best to perform this process near a window
Charging Checklist:
- Use the original Halo Charging Cable
- Ensure the charging port is clean and dry
- Confirm the battery light blinks green when plugged in
- Quickly and firmly press and release the Power Button on the front of the collar
- Ensure your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on
- Keep your phone within Bluetooth range (within 50 feet / 15.2 meters)
If You Are Using an Android Device

Android 11 or earlier (≤ 11):
- Location permission must be enabled
- Go to: Phone Settings > Apps > Halo > Permissions

Android 12 or later (≥ 12):
- Both Location and Bluetooth permissions must be enabled
- Go to: Phone Settings > Apps > Halo > Permissions
Check Bluetooth:
- Open the quick settings panel and confirm the Bluetooth icon is highlighted
- Or go to: Phone Settings > Bluetooth > Connected Devices
Check Location Services:
- Open the quick settings panel and confirm the Location icon is highlighted
- Or go to: Phone Settings > Location
If You Are Using an iOS Device
- Ensure Bluetooth permission is enabled:
- Go to: Settings > Halo > Bluetooth Permission
Check Bluetooth:
- Open the Control Center (swipe down from the top-right corner) and confirm the Bluetooth icon is highlighted
- Or go to:
- Settings > Bluetooth
- Settings > Bluetooth > Allow New Connections
