How to Add a Halo Remote to your App

• iOS: Version 3.0.1 or later
• Android: In Development

Turning On the Remote

• Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone’s settings. 
• Press any button on the Remote. If you see a light, the Remote is already powered on. 
• If you don’t see a light, press and hold the Multifunction (●) button for 5 seconds to turn on the Remote. 
• The blue power light will flash to confirm the Remote is powered on and ready to connect.

Adding the Remote in the Halo App

1. Open the Halo App on your device
2. Navigate to the More tab
3. Tap Add Device, then select (+ Add Remote)
4. Choose the Remote type you'd like to add

• The app will begin searching for nearby Remotes (this may take up to 60 seconds)

Identifying and Selecting Your Remote

• Once you've selected the type of Remote you want to connect, all nearby remotes of that type will appear on the screen with their serial numbers.
• Match the serial number in the app with the one on the back of your Remote
  • (Example format: AC233F 852872)

Set Up Your Remote Control

• Once your Remote Control is selected, assign it to a pet. 

• After your pet is assigned, your Remote Control is ready to use.

Button functions:

• 1 — Level 1 Feedback
• 2 — Level 2 Feedback
• 3 — Level 3 Feedback 
• Center (Whistle) — Plays the Recall Whistle
• Bottom (Multi-Function Button) — Starts a Walk, so you can walk hands-free.

Configuring the 1-Button Remote (Previous Generation)

• Once your 1-Button Remote Control is selected, assign it to a pet. 

• After your pet is assigned, your 1-Button Remote is ready to use.
• By default, the 1-Button Remote is configured for Recall and plays your pet's configured Recall Whistle. In Remote Settings, you can change the button's Feedback Type to Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, or Custom.

Turning On the Remote

• Ensure the Bluetooth setting on your phone is turned on
• Press and hold the Halo logo on the Remote for 5 seconds
• Wait until the blue light stays solid for 5 seconds, indicating the Remote is on

Light Indicators:

• If you see the blue power light flash once, it confirms the Remote is powered on
• If the power light blinks 5 times in succession, it means the Remote is now off

4. Choose the Remote Model

   

• The app will begin searching for nearby Remotes (this may take up to 60 seconds)

When you're finished with your walk, open the Halo app to end the walk and resume normal fence protection.

Configuring the 1-Button Remote

• Once your Remote is selected, choose the type of feedback you would like the Remote to apply to the collar

• This can be changed later if needed

  

Assigning a pet:

• Next, assign the Remote to a pet. When you press the button, the Remote uses that pet's existing feedback settings. Any changes you make to the pet's feedback settings will automatically apply to the Remote as well.

• That's it! Your Remote is now set up and ready to use.
