Can I Create Fences over the Water? Follow
Environment

Answer
Yes, it is possible to create Halo fences over a body of water like a lake or ocean. However, it is important to note that the water can have an effect on the GPS signal and feedback that the collar provides. This is because water can absorb and reflect radio waves, which can interfere with the GPS signal.
- Additionally, if the collar gets submerged, the water can interfere the feedback and cause it to be less reliable.
Here are some tips for creating Halo fences over water:
- Avoid placing fence posts directly in the water. Instead, place them on the shore or on a dock.
- Test the fence regularly to make sure that your dog is receiving the correct feedback.
If your dog's collar gets wet, be sure to dry it completely before plugging it back in.
Water Resistance
The Halo Collar has been through significant testing—including submersion, swim testing, and salt water testing. It has an IP67 water rating and can be safely submerged in water up to 3 feet (0.9 meters) deep. That means that at the surface where your dog will be swimming, it will be totally water-resistant!
