How to Create a Halo Fence

Steps to Create a Fence

1. Tap My Map in the bottom left of the screen
2. Slide up the Find & Manage Pets card
3. Select Add Fence

Creating Your Fence

• You will be presented with a marker that you can move to your property
• Select Create Fence

OR

• Enter your address in the search bar (see image below) 

  

• When you select Create Fence, a unique fence will be created based on your property lines and Halo’s safety guidelines

Important Safety Guidelines

• Maintain a minimum distance of 20 feet (4.6–6.1 meters):
  • Between the fence and any roads
  • Between the fence and your house
• This spacing ensures your dog has enough room to respond to:
  • Warning Feedback, which activates when your dog is within 7–10 feet (2.1–3.0 meters) of the fence
• Proper spacing is essential for:
  • Your dog’s safety near roads
  • Effective use of the Halo Collar around your home

Additional Notes

• You cannot create a fence inside another fence
