How to Add a Beacon to Your Halo App

Step 1: Turn On the Beacon

1. Ensure the Bluetooth setting on your phone is on
2. Press and hold the Halo Logo on the Beacon for 5 seconds
3. Wait until the blue light stays solid for 5 seconds, indicating the Beacon is on

Light Indicators:

• If you see the blue power light flash once, it confirms the Beacon is powered on
• If the power light blinks 5 times in succession, it means the Beacon is now off

Step 2: Add the Beacon in the Halo App

Once your Beacon is turned on:

1. Open the Halo App on your device
2. Navigate to the Settings tab
3. Tap My Beacons, then select (+ Add Beacon)

4. Choose the specific Model of your Halo Beacon 

   

• The app will begin searching for nearby Beacons (this may take up to 60 seconds)

Step 3: Identify and Select Your Beacon

• All Beacons within range will appear on the screen with their serial numbers
• Match the serial number shown in the app with the one on the back of your Beacon
  • (Example format: AC233F 852872)

Step 4: Configure the Beacon

• Once your Beacon is selected, assign a name
• Choose its function:
  • Keep Away
  • Ignore Fences

Step 5: Set the Beacon Radius

• Adjust the Beacon’s radius to define the size of the Keep Away or Ignore Fences zone

• You can modify the radius later by going to Settings → Beacons in the app 

  

Additional Information

• Your My Beacons screen should display your newly added Beacon
