Objective

• Add a Beacon to your Halo App

Environment

• Halo App
• Halo Beacons

Procedure

Important: Please make sure that your Halo App is updated to the latest version.

• iOS - Version 1.83 (or newer)
• Android - Version 1.71 (or newer)

Turning On the Beacon

1. Ensure the Bluetooth setting on your phone is on
2. Press and hold the Halo Logo on the Beacon for 5 seconds.
3. Wait until the blue light stays solid for 5 seconds, indicating the Beacon is on.
   • If you see the blue 'power' light flash once, it confirms the Beacon is powered on.
   • If the 'power' light blinks 5 times in succession, it means the Beacon is now off.

Adding the Beacon in the Halo App

1. Open the Halo App on your device.
2. Navigate to the settings tab.
3. Tap on "My Beacons" and then select the (+Add Beacon) option.
4. Choose the Remote Beacon Model.
   
   • The app will begin searching for nearby beacons. This might take up to 60 seconds.
     Identifying and Selecting Your Beacon:
5. All Beacons within range will appear on the screen, displayed with their serial numbers.
   Match the serial number shown on the app with the one on the back of your Beacon (it typically looks like "AC233F 852872").

Configuring the Beacon

1. Once your Beacon is selected in the app, give it a name.
2. Choose the Feedback Button function.

Choose Feedback Type

1. Select the feedback that you would like for the remote beacon to apply to the collar
   • This can be changed later if you need.

Once you select the feedback, your beacon should now be successfully added to your app!

Additional Notes

• You can see how many collars are listening to the beacon by tapping the (i Icon) at the top right portion of the screen.
