How to Change the Battery of a Halo Beacon

Halo Beacons use different replaceable batteries depending on the model. Follow the instructions below for your specific Beacon type.

Training Beacon (CR2025 Battery)

The Halo Training Beacon uses a CR2025 replaceable battery.

Steps to Replace the Battery:

1. Locate the loop at the top of the Beacon
   • You will see a small groove where you can insert a thin tool (such as a small screwdriver or knife)
     
2. Carefully pry open the back casing
   • Ensure the Halo logo is facing down while opening
     
3. Remove and replace the battery
   • Take out the old CR2025 battery
   • Insert a new CR2025 battery in its place
     

Zone Beacon (CR2477 Battery)

The Halo Zone Beacon uses a CR2477 replaceable battery, which typically lasts up to 2 years with normal use.

Steps to Replace the Battery:

1. Locate the seam between the cap and body of the Beacon
   
2. Unscrew the top of the Beacon
   • This will expose the internal battery compartment
     
3. Remove and replace the battery
   • Slide out the old battery
   • Insert a new CR2477 battery
