As part of this release, members may notice a clearer, more precise map experience in the Halo app through the latest app update, while additional collar-side Precision+ GPS improvements continue rolling out through a firmware update.

By combining satellite positioning with advanced ground-based GPS correction, Precision+ GPS helps deliver a more precise and reliable Halo experience.

What You May Notice

As Precision+ GPS rolls out, members may notice:

• A clearer, more precise view of their dog’s location on the map
• Faster response when dogs go outside
• Smoother tracking with fewer unexpected jumps
• Fence updates that apply instantly

How It Works

Traditional GPS relies on satellites overhead to estimate location.

Precision+ GPS enhances that system with advanced ground-based GPS correction that helps refine and stabilize location data in real time.

This helps Halo perform more consistently in challenging GPS environments like:

• dense tree cover
• suburban neighborhoods
• uneven or mountainous terrain

Map Screen Behavior

• The map screen now follows your phone's screen timeout settings by default to help conserve battery.
• If you'd like the map to remain visible while tracking your dog, you can enable Keep My Map Screen On in Map Settings.
