The Halo App will display the 'Unknown' status when your phone has not yet received any information from your Halo collar. If this is the case, the Last Heard section of the Pet Card will say "Waiting for first connection".
Once your collar connects to the Halo Cloud, the information will be updated. If you are seeing this issue for an extended period of time, this may mean that you need to finish the Collar Setup process - or you need to troubleshoot Collar Connectivity.
