We apologize that you may have experienced this situation with your Halo Collar. The Halo Collar is designed such that this should not happen but in some rare situations it may be possible. The first thing to check is if your collar firmware is up-to-date (currently 0.1.35 or higher - see the article “How do I check what version of firmware is on my Halo Collar?”); that there are no fences close to the house; and that any Beacons you have are off or that the Beacons are set to off in the App itself. If you have checked all these things and still feel like your dog is receiving an emergency correction while in the house, then we would like to arrange a time to speak with you via the Customer Service Answer Bot located on our Support page - note: we may not be immediately available and may need to reach out to schedule a time to talk. In the interim, we have a recommendation on how to handle this that will alleviate your concerns while we arrange to speak with you.
To ensure that there no corrections inside your house, when you bring your dog inside, turn Fences Off in the App. Then, of course, always remember to turn Fences On when you bring your dog outside. When turning fences on or off, please confirm that the update went through before letting your dog out.
To do this, locate the Pet Card safety indicator ('safe' or 'unsafe' means Fences are on, while 'tracking' means Fences are off).
Our engineers are actively working on a solution that will allow you to always leave the fences on, even if your dog is in the house, and will let you know when this update is completed in the near future.
