If I Already Own a Wired or In-Ground Fence, How Much Training for the Halo Collar Is Required? Follow
Environment:

Answer
If your dog has already been trained on a different fence system, it is highly recommended that you take the Halo Training Course with your Halo Collar. This is because the feedback provided by previous systems can be completely different than what the Halo Collar provides. The Halo Collar has its own unique customizable sounds that may take some getting used to. It's important to practice and make sure your dog understands the new boundaries and feedback.
The ultimate goal of training is to build a strong bond and mutual understanding between you and your dog- while helping your dog develop good habits and behaviors. By using Cesar Millan's methods of training, you can find what works best for you and your dog, and achieve better results in your training.
Additional Notes:
Your dog that has been previously trained to respect the boundaries from your wired or In-Ground Fence may have a better time understanding the training as they may recognize the sensation that they receive and associate it with specific behaviors or commands.
Additionally, the previous training may have instilled a level of obedience or responsiveness in your dog, making it more receptive to new training!
However, it's important to note that each dog is unique and may respond differently to training, regardless of previous experience. It's always important to approach training with patience, consistency, and a focus on positive reinforcement techniques.
