Technical Support: Halo Collar Not Showing Lights or Charging Follow
If your Halo Collar is not lighting up or charging correctly, we’re here to help. Please follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue. If problems continue, our live support team is available 7 days a week.
Follow these steps to determine the cause and resolve the issue:
1. Check Power Source
- Plug the collar into a USB-C cable and a charging block (not a computer).
- Please click on this link for the specifications for a charging block: Choosing the Right Charging Block for Your Halo Collar – Halo Collar Help Center
- Confirm that no LED lights appear on the collar.
2. Remove Case
- If you're using the Halo Pro Case, remove it to ensure proper contact between the charger and the collar.
-
If you remove the case to charge the collar, we strongly recommend putting it back on before using it on your dog.
3. Test Charger & Cable
- Try the USB-C cable and charging block on another device (e.g., phone or tablet) to confirm they’re working properly.
4. Inspect Charging Port
- Check the gold charging pins for any dirt or debris.
- Clean gently using a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol or mild soap. Allow it to fully dry before reconnecting.
5. Perform a Hard Reset
- Leave the collar plugged into the charger for at least 5 minutes.
- Then, hold the ON button for 15 seconds, and release.
- If LED lights turn on, check collar connectivity in the Halo App.
- If no lights appear after the reset, please reach out to our live support team for further assistance.
