Can I Charge the Collar When It Is Wet? Follow

- Halo Collar
Answer
To avoid damage to your Halo Collar or USB charging cable, do not charge while it is wet or in an area where it could get wet. Do not handle the device, charger, or cords with wet hands while charging. Do not insert any object into the charging port. This can result in damage to the charging port.
The Halo Collar should not be charged if moisture is present in the USB charging port.
If you charge the Halo Collar when there is liquid in the USB port, this can result in damage to the collar as well as the charging cable.
In order to prevent water from getting into the USB port, please make sure that the USB cover flap is folded flat (as in, it hasn't spun in any other direction) to seal the port as much as possible. While this seal isn't completely water-tight, it will go a long way in keeping water out of the hardware.
If water does get into the port, you should make sure it is dry before you charge the device. To do this, gently shake or tap the collar, with the USB flap open and the port facing downward, to remove the water from the port. Then, wait for the excess moisture to evaporate - this can take approximately 1-2 hours.
If any liquid other than fresh water enters the collar's charging port, you must rinse it in fresh water and dry it thoroughly with a dry, soft cloth and follow the steps outlined above before charging the device.
